What size are the tiles?
Standard tiles are 12"×12"×1" (30×30×2.5 cm). Each tile covers exactly 1 square foot, making coverage calculations simple. PrimeZone also offers a 24"×12" long-format tile in 6-piece sets for pathway applications.
Do I need to seal the tiles before outdoor use?
Yes — PrimeZone recommends applying 2 coats of polyurethane, linseed oil, or a wood sealant before outdoor installation. This prevents fading and cracking from UV and moisture. Indoor or covered patio tiles don't require sealing.
Will the tiles come apart?
The interlocking plastic base holds tiles together firmly on flat hard surfaces. On softer surfaces like gravel, some customers use small zip ties through connector tabs for extra security. Tiles do not come apart during normal use.
Can they be installed on uneven ground?
Best on flat, level surfaces. Minor variations up to ~1/4" can usually be tolerated. For gravel or soft ground, compact and level the base material first. Very uneven surfaces may cause wobbling.
Are edge trim pieces available?
Yes — PrimeZone sells matching edge trim sets including 20 border trim and 10 corner trim pieces, available in Natural and Brown. This gives your installation a clean, professional finished perimeter.
How many tiles do I need?
Each tile covers 1 sq ft. Measure your area and add 5–10% for cuts and waste. A 10'×12' patio needs 120 tiles — order 135+ to be safe. Sets come in 9, 27, 54, 81, 108, 162, and 216 piece counts.
